Despite a few cases of illness in the past few days, France is going into the final of the World Cup with its regular formation.
Lusail – The Argentinians only change their starting eleven for the game on Sunday (4:00 p.m. CET/ARD and MagentaTV) compared to the semifinals against Croatia: Veteran Ángel Di María moves into the first eleven for Leandro Paredes, which, as usual, is headed by the captain Lionel Messi is cited.
Di María and Messi are also the only players in the squad who featured at the 2014 World Cup final.
Bayern defender Dayot Upamecano and midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who missed the semi-final against Morocco due to illness, are returning to France's starting eleven at the Lusail Stadium north of Doha.
In addition, coach Didier Deschamps offers his proven formation from the previous knockout games.
The defensive chief Raphael Varane, who was ill recently, got fit just in time, as did the ailing Theo Hernández and Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Bayern professional Kingsley Coman and Ibrahima Konaté are on the bench after their colds.
Superstar Kylian Mbappé attacks on the left side like last time, ex-Dortmunder Ousmane Dembélé plays on the offensive on the right.
In the storm center, Deschamps offers the veteran Olivier Giroud.
The team is led by goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris.
