NBA star and former Maccabi Tel Aviv player Amara Stoudemire was arrested last night (Saturday) in Miami, after he allegedly beat his daughter.
According to reports in the United States, Stoudemire hit his daughter in the jaw several times, after he allegedly "got insolent", and blood stains were visible in her mouth.
Stoudamire is charged with assault, and reportedly told the officers who arrested him that his daughter "behaved disrespectfully and lied to him."

The 40-year-old Stoudemire came to the NBA in 2002 and became one of the best players in the league in the Phoenix uniform.
He was selected six times for the league's All-Star Game and also played in New York, Dallas and Miami, before becoming one of the owners of Hapoel Jerusalem in 2016, and also a regular player.
In 2017, he helped the Jerusalemites win the championship, and in January 2020, after a short period in China, he signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv and also won the championship with them, before hanging up his shoes.
After retirement, he served as an assistant coach in Brooklyn under his good friend Steve Nash.
