In Weinstadt, the U20 athlete defied snow and ice.

Weinstadt/Penzberg – Julia Rath has ended the series of runs for the “German Cross-Cup” in a manner befitting her status.

The 18-year-old from Penzberg, who was already the overall winner in the U20 class (we reported), won the middle-distance race in the final competition on Saturday in Weinstadt.

Rath, who starts for LAC Quelle Fürth, ran the 4400 meters in 18:04 minutes.

Various units on cross-country skis were also on the program as part of the training camp.

Wintry conditions also prevailed at the end of the Cross Cup series.

Rath coped very well on snow and ice.

At the finish, they had a comfortable lead of 51 seconds over second place and 1:33 minutes over third.

Lea Böhringer (TSV Erbach) and Natalie Frank (LAV Stadtwerke Tübingen) also belong to the U20 class.
