The Disciplinary Committee of the League (LFP) - meeting on November 16, 23 and 30, 2022 and December 7 and 13, 2022 - has decided to sanction players, coaches and managers of professional clubs who have not respected, under of the 2020-2021 season, the ban on sports betting laid down by the Sports Code.
This is the thirteenth cross-checking of files, carried out with the assistance of the ANJ (National Gaming Authority) and the FDJ, since the 2013-2014 season.
These offenses are committed even though, together, the LFP and the UNFP (the players' union) are carrying out awareness or information campaigns with the clubs on a daily basis.
The Commission recalls that those involved in competitions organized by the FFF or the LFP (in particular players, coaches, managers of professional football clubs) are generally prohibited from betting, online or in physical networks, on all football competitions, whether domestic or foreign.
