"Every tournament in Israel is stressful," said Israel's men's team coach Oren Samadja.

"We hosted a number of big tournaments here. I hope to see the athletes perform and get a medal in front of the home crowd. This year was not full of medals, but the Masters is something that will bring the athletes closer to the criterion, it gives a lot of points and we want to open the year ranked as high as possible. We have In the past 11 medals in this tournament, I would like to see the young guys perform and if we get a medal it will be excellent."

Some of the categories are more difficult than the Olympics and World Championships and it's very exciting. Well done to those who are behind it. At the professional level we have very high expectations and we try to be realistic. If we come back with a medal It will be amazing, when the last and only one who did it was Jordan Jarbi. If there is an athlete here who can do it, it will be an important step in the legacy of the team and his."

Hershko added: "The preparation was excellent in Japan, the team is in good shape, but we are not competing against ourselves. If the leading athletes win a medal, I will not fall off my feet, but I hope that is what will happen at the moment of truth."

Meanwhile, a start time has been set, when tomorrow (12.20) the first athletes will get on the mat at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday (12.21) at 11:00 a.m. and the last day on Thursday (12.22) will start at 10:30 a.m., with the medal fights starting at 17 :00
