On Tuesday evening at 8.15 p.m. Boris Becker will give his eagerly awaited interview on Sat.1.
On the day of the broadcast, the

published a first photo showing the tennis legend during the interview.
Becker has actually changed a bit on the outside.
His hair is no longer peroxide blond, but more of a coppery blond.
His face has become a bit slimmer, more angular.
In the photo he is wearing a black suit.

Munich – In the middle of last week, German tennis legend Boris Becker was released early from prison.
The Leimener was sentenced to prison at the end of April after failing to properly disclose parts of his assets in his bankruptcy proceedings.
After almost eight months in two different prisons, he has now been deported, and a private broadcaster then announced an exclusive interview for Tuesday evening.

Boris Becker: Tennis legend gives Sat.1 an exclusive interview after his release
Just five days after his release and his return to Germany on Thursday, Becker will face the TV audience on Tuesday.
At prime time at 8:15 p.m., the 55-year-old speaks on Sat.1 about what is probably the most difficult time in his life so far, moderator Steven Gätjen will conduct the interview.
Gätjen, who had already visited Becker in the run-up to the interview in Huntercombe prison, gave the “Sat.1 Spezial.

Boris Becker was "very afraid": moderator Steven Gätjen visited him in prison
The prison time really took Becker with it, the moderator is quoted as saying in a message from the broadcaster, Gätjen also spoke in detail about the situation of the tennis icon in the second prison in Huntercombe.
"It's not just people who have committed financial crimes who are incarcerated there, but also sex offenders, murderers and people who have committed major robberies.
Boris Becker told me that he was very afraid of ending up in a collective cell.

Becker was alone for the first few days in prison, says Gätjen.
During this time he had no contact with the outside world, "with one hour out per day".
The only goal for him at that point was "to get out and work. He just wanted to get some fresh air.
He said he would have done anything for it," recalls the TV announcer.
Boris Becker was released from prison last week and deported to Germany.

Gätjen on Boris Becker: "Wants to make it clear that he has not enjoyed a celebrity bonus"
According to Gätjen, Becker "gave the impression that he wanted to get his soul off his chest after the experiences of the last few months".
In addition, it was "extremely important for him to make it clear that he did not enjoy a celebrity bonus in prison," adds the former "Beat the Raab" moderator.
He expects a Becker "who will speak very emotionally and honestly about his time in prison, but who has also reflected intensively on himself and his situation".
In his role as a reporter, he also had the feeling "that someone was sitting in front of me who was striving for a new beginning".
In view of the exchange between the interviewer and the fallen sports star, an emotional but above all respectful dialogue is to be expected.
