Before the Christmas break, SC Freising celebrates a successful double match day - including a clear win against BC Aresing, who has been unbeaten to date.
Freising – SC Freising's second women's team is getting better and better.
On the last double match day before the Christmas break, she not only defeated TSV Neuburg 3:2 (25:22, 25:19, 16:25, 17:25, 15:11), but also completely surprisingly the previously unbeaten team of BC Aresing with 3:0 (25:15, 25:22, 26:24).
The women from Freising have thus worked their way up to fourth place in the volleyball district class.
Because some players called in sick at short notice or were injured, SCF coach Leander Liebl had to reorganize his team.
"But we played well in the first two sets against Neuburg," said the coach.
But then his team largely stopped playing.
Neuburg equalized to 2:2.
In the tie-break, the Freising women were wide awake again and deservedly won 15:11.
Liebl had a few simple explanations ready for the surprising win against BC Aresing: "We played a class and a half better than against Neuburg, we played without pressure and just had a lot of fun with the game." Tactically clever and placed serves, a very Agile field defense and, above all, well-considered and hard-hitting smashes hit Aresing right from the start.
When the guests came up again at the end of the third set and the game threatened to tip over, the Freisingers showed nerves of steel and cleverness.
"It can go on like this," said the coach.
