TSV delivered its best performance of the season in Dachau and won against the pursuers with 29:20 goals.

Taufkirchen

– As the autumn champions, the Taufkirchen handball players are going into the four-week Christmas break.

Because in the top game of the Mitte district class, TSV clearly won with 29:20 (18:9) goals after a great performance against the pursuer ASV Dachau 2.

A happy trainer Andreas Haberzettl didn't know afterwards whether it was because of the exuberant Christmas party the night before.

"Buttermilk makes it possible," he laughed, alluding to his previously unreasonable request.

It was probably more of a mixture of many factors that made the top game such a show of power.

“That was excellent.

The boys fought really well, but also played well and therefore deserved to win,” Haberzettl enthused about what was probably the best performance of the season.

The backcourt was in full swing, combinations worked, counterattacks as well.

After 15 minutes they were already leading 8:4, the lead gradually increased to twelve goals (25:13/41.).

Support was provided by TSV goalkeeper Florian Lehner, who "did a great save and got spontaneous applause from the stands," praised Haberzettl.

Because the Taufkircheners were driven by a good 40 fans, who created a home game atmosphere in the Georg-Scherer-Halle.

“There were far fewer people from Dachau.

It was a great atmosphere,” enthused Patrick Mühlenbeck from the bench.

He had been the TSV unlucky one in the eighth minute when he landed unluckily on a counterattack without outside influence, tore the inner ligament in his left knee and took a six-week break.

But his teammates kept fighting for him and bought the ASV reserve with their passion in the first half.

"We played it down nicely in the second half," said Haberzettl, pleased about an unchallenged 29:20 against his rivals, who you can see again at the start of the second half of the season on January 21 in Taufkirchen.
