City of Kiryat Shmona is on the way to the appointment of a new coach: after Nir Berkovic resigned today (Wednesday) from his position as coach of the Ness Ziona section, the owner Izzy Sharetzky decided to bring him to the northern team.
Sharetzky, who advocates attacking football, spoke with Berkovic after realizing that he intended to leave Nes Ziona.
Even before the appointment, Kash's husband also spoke with Eyal Berkovich, Nir's older brother, who recommended the move to both parties.
This is a particularly surprising transition, especially in light of the fact that Kiryat Shmona is in last place in the table, while Nes Ziona is only one place above it with two more points.
If nothing unexpected happens, Nir Berkovic will conduct his first training in the north tomorrow.
Earlier, Berkovic announced the end of his position as coach of the Nes Ziona section.
As you know, the team has so far achieved only two league victories since the beginning of the season.
The club said: "A few minutes ago, the team's coach, Nir Berkowitz, informed the club's general manager, Roy Ankva, of his resignation from the club. We wish Nir success in the future. Efforts are being made to bring in the most suitable coach in order to meet the club's goals."
