Summary: Prometheus - Hapoel Tel Aviv 100:83 (Sport1)
Hapoel Tel Aviv registered a significant away victory in the Eurocup last night (Tuesday) when they defeated the Greek Promethas Petras 83:100 in a game that closed the first round out of two in the group stage.
The Reds will finish the round in the middle of the table with five wins and four losses, and if they continue at this pace they may gain a home advantage in the round of 16.
The game in Greece was decided at the beginning of the third quarter, the Reds led by Jordan McCray who scored 26 points and 8 assists, went on a 0:18 run at the start of the second half, and created a lead from which the Greeks had no chance to return.
Xavier Manford added 15 points, Jaylen Hurd in his comeback game was perfect from the field with 14 points and Chinano Onuaku scored 11 points and pulled down 8 rebounds as the Reds did well without Jacob Brown.
"It is not obvious that we arrive here, with the tradition of Greek basketball and its quality, and make a victory," Danny Franco said at the end, "a big credit to the players and my team, and we will continue to progress from game to game. I thank our fans who went all the way to support and encourage us and also For them, of course, a significant part of this victory."

Bar Timor who scored 9 points said: "We came to a difficult away game and faced the task of finishing the first round with a positive balance. We made 31 assists, played as a team and knew from the beginning of the game to play with confidence. I am happy for our fans who will return home with a smile."
Although Hapoel Tel Aviv will not play in the Eurocup next week due to the Christmas break, their schedule of games is still crowded with make-up games from the first round.
Jacoben Brown is expected to receive final approval this weekend to return to full training after the concussion he suffered in the game against Wroclaw last week, and he should be in the squad against Hapoel Jerusalem this Monday.
