Summary: City of Kiryat Shmona - Section Nes Ziona 3:3 (Sport1)
Today (Wednesday) Nir Berkovich unexpectedly resigned from coaching Nes Ziona section and signed as the new coach of Kiryat Shmona.
He replaces Menachem Koretsky, who resigned yesterday after the 3:3 draw between the two teams at the weekend - a result that left Kariya in last place in the table.
The section's statement reads: "A few minutes ago, the team's coach, Nir Berkowitz, informed the club's CEO, Roy Ankva, of his resignation from the club.
We wish Nir success in the future.
At this time, efforts are being made to bring in the most suitable coach in order to meet the goals of the club."
It should be noted that in the past Izzy Sharetzky was angry with Barak Becher when he found out that he had talked with Hapoel Beer Sheva while he was coaching Kiryat Shmona, and therefore fired him.

Berkovich was supposed to leave the Ness Ziona section already in the summer after he signed with Hapoel Hadera and it also officially announced his arrival.
However, after less than a week, the coach asked the people of Hadera to cancel his arrival, they responded positively and continued with the Ziona miracle.
The 40-year-old Berkovich previously coached Hapoel Rishon LeZion (two terms), Hapoel Ramat Gan, Hapoel Umm El Fachem, Maccabi Ahi Nazareth and Bnei Yehuda.
In most of them he had tumultuous tenures: he coached five seasons at Ahchi Nazareth and Bnei Yehuda was fired after four games following an incident during which he cursed the commentator, former player Liran Strauber.
In March 2021, he returned for a second term at Umm Al Fahem, coached the next day in a 3:0 loss to Hapoel Ramat Gan and resigned immediately after.
