VSG trainer Habboubi: "Of course that was a must-win"

The VSG Isar-Loisach wins the still pointless SG Grafing III/Bruckmühl with 3:0 and stays close to the top of the table.
Bruckmühl/Geretsried – The VSG Isar-Loisach volleyball team said goodbye to the Christmas break with their sixth win in a row. 20, 25:15).
"Of course that was a must-win," emphasizes coach Nabil Habboubi, with a view to the table situation of the hosts, who are still pointless after ten games.
Grafing reactivates experienced forces
However, the Grafingers were definitely motivated to score their first points and had reactivated some experienced players.
The VSG, on the other hand, had to do without the sick Stefan Richter and the injured Mirko Richter and Christian Leykam.

The first set runs smoothly for VSG at 25:13
In the first set (25:13), things went smoothly for his team, in which Lukas von Stülpnagel was used on the outside this time due to the lack of personnel.
"He's already very accepting and has done his job really well," said Habboubi, also pleased that his protégés are flexible and ready to play in different positions.
A tactical measure also paid off: In order to be able to process the fluttering surcharges of the home side better, the VSG switched from the lower to the upper assumption.
"The balls came more precisely to our players," reports the coach.
Head to head in the second round
A head-to-head race ensued in the second section.
Only after the 10:10 tie did the VSG get a lead thanks to a series of successful serves.
The coach then used the opportunity to give the other players who had traveled with him match practice with setter Thorsten Busch, libero Julius Wilhelm and youngster Patrick Nordmann, so that the section went to the guests with a score of 25:20.
3rd set: Three Nordmann finishes at 25:15
In the third set, the Grafingers gave it their all again and were constantly in the lead up to 11:10.
Then the volleyball players from Geretsried and Wolfratshausen turned things around and made the 25:15 success perfect thanks to three successful shots from Nordmann, among other things.
Nabil Habboubi was not only happy about his team's game, but also when looking at the results of the competition: Table leaders TSV Mühldorf II struggled to win 3-2 at VC/DJK Passau and only took two points instead of the three they had hoped for .
"The gap has narrowed," said the VSG coach, looking forward to what will continue to be an exciting duel for the championship and promotion.

His team is doing another training session this week, and the popular internal Christmas tournament for all VSG teams is on the program on Thursday.
Then the volleyball players have a few days off before they prepare for the state league match on January 14th at TSV Schönberg.
In January there is only this one game on the program, but in February three game days.
