Zvika Sharaf and Neta Rivkin were chosen as Tel Aviv Municipality's People of the Year in Sports Israel today

The Paralympic swimmer Keren Leibovitch, the former Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball player Chaim Hazan, the late Paralympic swimmer Ron Bolotin and the former soccer player Moshe Sinai will also be inducted into the city's Hall of Fame in a ceremony to be held on Tuesday in the presence of Mayor Ron Huldai


The Municipality of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, through the Municipal Sports Authority, will hold on Tuesday, the ceremony of the People of the Year in Sports for 2022. The ceremony, which is held every year, celebrates female and male athletes, coaches and trainers, sports associations and organizations that contribute to the community and who have left their mark and contributed greatly to sports in the city of Tel Aviv Aviv-Jaffa, each in his own field.

For this contribution, they will be eligible to enter the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Hall of Fame, which includes significant landmarks in the history of Tel Aviv and Israeli sports and every year sportsmen and women from Tel Aviv join it.

As part of the ceremony, which will be held in the presence of Tel Aviv-Jaffa Mayor Ron Huldai, the municipality will award tokens of appreciation and appreciation to past sportsmen and women who will join the Israeli Sports Hall of Fame: basketball coach Zvika Sharaf, artistic gymnast from the Maccabi Tel Aviv Association Neta Rivkin, paralympic swimmer Keren Leibovich, the former basketball player of Hapoel Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team, the late Haim Hazan, the Paralympic swimmer Ron Bolotin and the former soccer player of Hapoel Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team, Moshe Sinai.

The Mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Ron Huldai:

 "The Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality has made it its banner the promotion of sports throughout the city, and it also does so by honoring sportsmen whose past and present work is an example and an inspiration. The recipients of the award, chosen after examining many worthy nominations, are An example of this.   • Outstanding Youth Athlete Certificates -

     (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in weightlifting),

     (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in apparatus gymnastics),
