The West Asian Clubs Basketball Championship “Wasl International” continues its competitions for the second day in a row, with a meeting that brings together Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly of Aleppo with the Jordanian Orthodox, at Al-Hamdaniya Hall in Aleppo.
The championship was opened yesterday with the Iraqi Oil match against Al-Karama, and ended with the victory of the first with a difference of 23 points 89-66, which was held in the Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
The teams participating in the tournament were divided into two groups, the first of which included the Al-Ittihad clubs, Al-Ahly Aleppo, the Jordanian Orthodox, the Iranian Zob Ahan Isfahan, and the Lebanese Beirut, while the second included the Lebanese Al-Riyadi clubs, Al-Karamah, the Iraqi oil, and the Iranian Gorgan.
The teams play in a league manner in each group separately, so the first of each of them qualifies directly for the semi-finals, while the second of each group plays with the third in the other group, so that four teams qualify for the semi-finals.
