National 2: an administrative error… and Poissy loses 7 points and 4 places in the standings

2022-12-22T06:42:01.279Z

In one week, AS Poissy, which was on the podium in Group A of National 2, lost seven points, three of its victory against Rouen in

This is how an administrative error ruins an excellent start to the season on the pitch.

Third in group A of National 2 with 25 points, behind Racing CFF and Rouen last week, Poissy now appears in 7th place on the new ranking published by the FFF.

The Yvelines club has just lost seven points on the green carpet and instead of looking ahead, it is only four points ahead of the relegation.

On September 10, Poissy delivered a big performance to beat Rouen (2-0) on the 4th day.

But on October 5, the Norman club sent an email to the FFF in which it claimed that the medical certificates appearing on the 2022-2023 license applications for two players, Yves Djedje and Thomas Skolski, did not present guarantees of authenticity. required.

The Ligue de Paris Île-de-France had opened disciplinary proceedings for the use of a false medical certificate when formulating around twenty license requests at the start of the season.

"We did not play players under false license"

At Poissy, they denied having wanted to cheat.

"We did not play players under false license", explained the president Olivier Szewczuk.

Internally, the case had caused a stir.

Fabrice Proisy, the club secretary, has been fired.

"I didn't do it lightly," continued Olivier Szewczuk.

Having fired him is painful for me, beyond the rest.

But the error lies with him.

He took this initiative alone and I would not understand that two players who have already been dismissed at Poissy for 2 years, and to whom the secretary told that it was not worth visiting, should be sanctioned.

They have nothing to do with it, neither do I.

The regional disciplinary committee (CFRC) held Fabrice Proisy responsible by suspending him for two years.

That of the two players who therefore played 4 matches - Rennes, August 20 (3-1), Blois August 27 (2-0), Granville September 3 (4-3) and Rouen September 10 - with documents not valid, was however discarded.

Rouen won their match by winning on the green carpet, four points less (three plus another penalty) for Poissy.

For the three previous meetings, the results were already approved without possible appeal because disputed for more than 30 days.

But the CFRC nevertheless decided to withdraw a point from Poissy for each of these three games.

Leaders think before they appeal

“Consequently considering, in an attempt to restore a certain sporting fairness between AS Poissy and its opponents (…) pursuant to Article 4.1.1 of the Disciplinary Regulations of the FFF, a deduction of 1 point for each match in which the two players in question have irregularly participated and for which the evocation is not possible because of its approval”.

The CFRC even indicated that "given that this does not seem to have been considered by the League of Paris-Ile de France, it seems appropriate to invite the FFF to file a complaint"...

On the Poissy side, we are stunned by this verdict.

The leaders want to take the time to think about whether or not to appeal this very heavy sanction.
