Nikolaus Reisinger teases the lion pros: "It's a long, long way to May"

Even Michael Köllner had no idea where the journey was going until the last moment.
"I'll get on the bus and let myself be surprised," said the 1860 coach.

– "I have no idea what the name of the place is." Less than an hour later, the resolution followed, a good 50 kilometers from Grünwalder Straße: Kirchdorf an der Amper is the name of the place where the lions held their Christmas party on Tuesday evening.
The Burger family from the inn of the same name had invited the extended team, i.e. the team, coaching staff, doctors, officials and partners.

"I was there in Leeds," he reports, "I have an annual ticket anyway and also life membership", purchased decades ago - for the symbolic amount of 1860 euros.

Not much could go wrong, because both sides contributed to a "top-harmonious evening" (burger).
Mulled wine reception next to a huge fire basket, four-course menu with pancake soup, salad, pot roast, spinach dumplings or pike-perch as a main course, rounded off with desserts based on gingerbread.
"Ms. Köllner was really taken with our soup, which we cook out the way it should be - with bones," Burger said proudly: "And we're known out here for the pot roast anyway.

However, it was the guests who provided the highlight of the evening.
