The Ski Jumping World Cup 2022/23 started in November.

Here you will find the schedule with all dates, venues and competitions.

Engelberg – The Ski Jumping World Cup 2022/23 started at the end of November and will continue into April.

For five months now, winter sports fans will be treated to exciting ski jumping competitions on a regular basis.

The World Cup season is held on numerous European ski jumps.

Important points for the overall victory are also up for grabs in Japan and the USA.

As part of the World Cup, the prestigious Four Hills Tournament will be held from December 29th to January 6th.

It is considered the absolute highlight of the entire ski jumping season for both fans and the athletes themselves.

At the end of February, the second highlight of the current season is the Nordic World Ski Championships.

However, the points collected there are not included in the overall rating.

Ski Jumping World Cup 2022/23: The squad of German ski jumpers

In March 2022, the German Ski Association (DSV) announced its squad for the 2022/23 Ski Jumping World Cup.

The coaching duo Stefan Horngacher and Michal Dolezal called a total of eleven winter athletes into the German squad for the ski jumping season.

For Horngacher it is the fourth season as head coach of the German national team.

Dolezal recently joined DSV after ending his association with the Polish Ski Association in March 2022.

The German group of participants in the Ski Jumping World Cup 2022/23 includes six men and five women in the A squad.

Men's Group 1a includes:

  • Markus Eisenbichler

  • Karl Geiger

  • Stephan Leyhe

  • Andrew Wellinger

  • Constantine Schmid

  • Pius Paschke

Group 1a for women includes:

  • Catherine Althaus

  • Anna Ruprecht

  • Selina Friday

  • Luisa Gorlich

  • Paline Hessler

After the long summer break, the start of the season is always a leap into the unknown for all participating winter sports enthusiasts.

Nobody knows exactly where he is in terms of performance.

The prognosis of the World Cup winner is therefore difficult.

However, it can be assumed that the best players from last year will also receive many points in the new season.

In the German team, Karl Geiger (last year second) and Markus Eisenbichler (sixth) as well as Katharina Althaus (fourth) are among the favorites.

The defending champion is Ryōyū Kobayashi from Japan.

Ski Jumping World Cup 2022/23: The schedule with all the men's dates

The Ski Jumping World Cup 2022/23 will open in early November with the World Cup in Wisla, Poland.

After stops in Finland, Germany and Switzerland, the Four Hills Tournament 2022/23 is coming up at the turn of the year.

The competition will be held for the 71st time this year and, as usual, will take place in Germany and Austria.
