Over 1200 people from Israel and the world who donated generously helped turn a dream into reality for the children of Rwanda with the completion of the construction of the first Pump Trek bicycle facility in the African country.

The construction of the innovative facility, one of the best in the world, which will allow thousands of children and teenagers from the province of Bugasara and all of Rwanda to train and enjoy what has until now been the property of privileged communities in developed countries - has been completed in recent days as part of a special project led by the professional cycling group Israel Premier Tech.

The project aims to establish a bicycle center for tens of thousands of children and teenagers, the vast majority of whom do not even have a pair of bicycles.

The Israeli team launched a crowdfunding campaign during the last Tour de France and raised more than a quarter of a million euros to finance the construction of the first two facilities - the Pump Trek, the construction of which was completed yesterday by the team of the world's leading Swiss company "Volo Solutions" - and a racing and training track, the construction of which will begin soon to complete the "Field the dreams".

The owners of the team, Sylvan Adams and Ron Bar-On, who contributed themselves, thanked the fans for their contribution: "Without you, this would not have happened. You are the best fans in the world."

Bar-On: "This is the first step towards realizing the dream of giving the children of Rwanda what they so deserve."

Governor of Bogasara region Richard Mutabazi: "This is a line of change for the entire region. I believe that this project will give many young people an opportunity to ride, learn and have a significant impact on their future."

The Israeli team that has already adopted and trained the first women's team in Rwanda in the last two years, plans to provide bicycles and start a training program.

The rider Guy Shagib, who is to inaugurate the facilities before the upcoming Tour of Rwanda, said yesterday: "I visited these villages and I will not forget the happiness we caused when we gave the children bicycles. Now, when they have a wonderful facility that looks like a roller coaster set up in their backyard - I can only imagine how they feel. The dream becomes a reality."
