An exciting football year is coming to an end for the Erding district league teams.

Asked about the tops and flops of the 2022/23 season, Manuel Gröber, player coach of FC Moosinning 2, is allowed to look back a few weeks at the successful promotion game and the celebration that followed.

Erding

– Those were crazy weeks.

Because shortly before that was the 0-1 defeat in the community duel.

"Losing this game and thus the direct promotion at home in front of 650 spectators against the neighbors", classified Gröber as "the flop par excellence".

However, he countered that this was the only way to get to this crazy game in Schwaig in front of almost 900 spectators against the Kirchdorf district league team - "and above all to the emotions and celebrations that followed".

The series of successes in the Neuland district league with the current second place in the table is the continuation of the success story for Gröber.

"The fact that you have no chance of promotion as a second in a district league doesn't bother us much," clarifies the 34-year-old, who has already played in the district league with Moosinning and Eitting.

Speaking of FC Eitting:

For fourth in the table, the tricky situation at FCM could still be an opportunity.

For Wolfgang Ettl, sporting director at FCE, "it's just great that we're still within striking distance".

You are five points away from FCM, but only one point from third-placed Allershausen.

"Of course we are aware of that," says Ettl, but makes it clear "that Moosinning is rightly in such a good position after the great first half of the season".

For Ettl, the negative side effect of the last few months is “the enormous bad luck with injuries, with nine long-term absences in some cases”.

And for him there is also the fact that "we were still to blame for one or the other defeat".

“My header in the second leg against Eching” is what Gianfranco Soave, FC Lengdorf

player-coach, calls

one of his highlights.

Understandable, because the 41-year-old with his 173 centimeters can hardly be a headball monster.

He also thought it was “really great” that there was “another Christmas party” after the corona-related break.

He didn't want to react too much to disappointments, which probably applies to him with every defeat.

But the 0:4 against Allershausen really bothered him.

"We had planned so much, wanted to take Michael Stiller out of the game, and then the old man hit us in the head too."

At 49, Allershausen's player-coach is undoubtedly the "league's senior president in his position."

For Alexander Mrowczynski, the most positive thing about the first half of the season was "that those who were there always gave 100 percent".

The absolute flop for the

SC Kirchasch

player-coach were the last five games with just one point.

“We were passed from fourth to third last place.

And now we have to see each other for months in a relegation place," says the coach, shortly before leaving for vacation in Mexico.

Just before this black series, KSC had won 2-1 in Walpertskirchen.

"Finally a derby win again", that was a highlight for goalkeeper and department head Maxi Bals.

Josef Heilmaier, coach of

SV Walpertskirchen

, cites the bus trip to Hohenwart with the fans as a highlight of the season so far, “especially when you can celebrate a win after an hour and a half drive home”.

Heilmaier couldn't think of any real flops.

The Whitsun flood stuck in his memory the most negatively.

"I was unsuspecting with my family in the best weather on Lake Constance when the call came and, above all, the clubhouse was under water".

SV Eichenried

had a permanent high with the

complete district class second half before the district league began.

It lasted until the fourth day of the game, "and then the 5-0 win in Wartenberg was great," says department head Stefan Adam.

And the flops?

"The difficult start with several weeks in the relegation zone and the home defeat against Moosinning."

"The development of the team and not just in terms of sport and results" is for Thomas Bachmaier, player coach of

BSG Taufkirchen

, one of the most positive things since his return to the Vils in the summer.

"The first win in the fifth game, and that under floodlights, against Walpertskirchen" is also one of the highlights for the 33-year-old, who leads the internal scorer list with ten goals.

It is something special for him when he hears from players after a win "that they have never been so happy about three points".

He also sees a change in himself, "because in my time in Hohenpolding I was used to success".

Bachmaier also likes to think back to the start of the second half of the season with the win against Wartenberg and the revenge for the 2:6 at the start of the season.

With that he is already at the flops.

"This failure has already become apparent in the dress rehearsal with a 1:6 at the A-Classist Oberbergkirchen".

This 6:2 in Taufkirchen on the first day of play and the 2:1 against Wörth before the winter break – press spokesman Thomas Rademacher could not identify more tops of a sporting nature for his

TSV Wartenberg

.

He still sees the cohesion in the team as great, "that was also evident at the Christmas party".

With some personnel changes (new coach, new Co, we reported) it is now in the remaining games "and we will try everything to get out of there," announced Rademacher.

SV Wörth did not want to comment on the topic of tops and flops.
