A petition has been launched to replay the World Cup final between Argentina and France after the controversial arbitration of Szymon Marciniak.

the arbitration was totally sold, there was never a penalty more foul on Mbappé on the 2nd goal!!!

A controversial arbitration

Beyond having been quite lenient on the Argentinian faults throughout the meeting, the author of the petition indicates in his text that the Polish referee awarded an imaginary penalty to Argentina, and denounces a fault in the start on the second Argentine goal.

However, nothing mentions the third goal when it also created many controversies.

Indeed, on this goal, we notice that Argentine substitutes already have their foot inside the field while the action is not over, a situation normally strictly prohibited by the regulations.

The petition also says nothing about the contact on Marcus Thuram which could have been worth a new penalty for the Blues.

Despite these few omissions, the petition has collected more than 200,000 people and continues to grow.

It has become one of the site's most popular petitions.

Despite this enthusiasm, the chances of the match being replayed are obviously nil.
