A rivalry arose between Argentina and France.

After a memorable dramatic final a week ago, the supporters of the two selections have decided to prolong the fun by competing with each other with online petitions.

The French first launched a petition to replay the match, explaining that the arbitration of the Pole, Szymon Marciniak, had been bad, in particular with his decision to award a penalty for a foul by Ousmane Dembélé on Angel Di Maria in the first period.

But the Argentinians, rather teasing, retaliated by launching a petition, signed by more than 500,000 people, for the Habs to stop crying after their defeat in the World Cup final.

"Since we won, the French have not stopped crying and complaining and do not accept that Argentina is the world champion," said Valentin Gomez, the initiator of the petition "France stop crying which had collected 570,768 signatures on the Change.org site on Friday at 9:20 p.m.

The French regret the behavior of Martinez

The French also regretted the lack of elegance of certain Argentinian players in the victory, in particular goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Among them, the president of the French Football Federation, Noël Le Graët, who wrote to his Argentinian counterpart Claudio Tapia to be moved by the "excesses" of the Albiceleste celebrations.

“I wrote to my counterpart from the Argentine Federation, I find these excesses abnormal, in the context of a sports competition, and I find it difficult to understand.

This is going too far.

Mbappé's behavior was exemplary,” he explained in an interview with Ouest-France.
