Like many of the stars of the World Cup in Qatar, Emiliano Martinez may also be upgraded.
Aston Villa's Argentinian goalkeeper is already being linked to Bayern Munich and Manchester United, although no overt action has yet been taken on the matter.
But, if you thought that Aston Villa would do everything to keep the excellent goalkeeper, you probably don't know the coach of the English team, Unai Emery, who, according to reports, can't stand Martinez and wants to get rid of him.
"Emery does not like players with a problematic character. He is not ready to accept rudeness," is how the Spanish media wrote about the Spanish coach's feelings towards Martinez.
Emery himself already referred to Martins last week: "When you feel a strong emotion, it is difficult for you to control yourself. I will talk to him about the way he celebrated. When he returns to us, it will be possible, because he will be under our control."

Emery's words obviously referred to the disrespectful way the Argentine goalkeeper chose after the victory in the World Cup final, whether it was the rude gesture when he received the Golden Glove or whether it was the mocking of Kylian Mbappe.
"Emery is pulling every possible string to throw Argentina's hero out of the team," the report concluded, "he just doesn't want him."
