The forward of the Denver Nuggets flew over Andrey Schmett in overtime and gave his team a valuable victory: "Send him to hell"

The Christmas season in the NBA provided a number of fascinating games tonight, the center of which was the battle between the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns that went into the morning hours (Monday) and ended with Denver's victory after overtime.

The hero of the victory, of course, was once again Nikola Jokic who finished with an unusual statistical line of 41 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists, as well as Jamal Murray who continues his good form and contributed 26 of his own with an important basket that took the game to overtime.

But the event that will be remembered from the game belongs to forward Aaron Gordon.

With the Nuggets up 123:124 with 25 seconds left in overtime, Denver's forward took the ball from the beginning of the court, ran toward the hoop and rose up for a tremendous dunk on Andrey Shamet, the kind you only see in the league's dunk contest (in which he starred in the past).

The referees initially signaled an offensive atmosphere that would have ruined one of the biggest moves of the season, but later corrected the decision, and the Nuggets won the game.

In the United States, the basket was already announced as the "dunk of the year" and on social networks it was written: "Aaron Gordon sent Andre Schmett to hell."

Also, others joked and mentioned the fact that the forward had not previously won the dunk contest despite unusual performances: "It's okay, Gordon is used to doing amazing things and not getting credit for them."
