Ice hockey – Oberliga Süd: EHC Klostersee wins 7:3 against HC Landsberg Riverkings and celebrates the first threesome of the season.

– The EHC Klostersee has saved the first three of the season for the second day of Christmas.

In the Wildbräu-Arena, the Grafingers finished off the Landsberg Riverkings with a deserved 7:3 goal last night after a strong performance.

"We finally got our reward", coach Dominik Quinlan was impressed by the EHC performance.

Including the preseason game, it was the third meeting between the Red and Whites and the Riverkings.

Apparently, some unpaid "bills" have accumulated.

In any case, it was immediately worked hard against each other, in the duels as well as on the gang.

Technically, the EHC initially had the upper hand: After winning the offensive face-off in the majority, Marinus Kritzenberger scored a hidden goal from a distance to the lead (5th).

At first, the guests did not come any closer to the Klosterseer box.

Adriano Carciola made the first attempt, somewhere between the middle and blue lines (6th).

Most waves of attack rolled in the direction of Andreas Magg, who was guarding the guest box.

After a sloppy pass, an advance was actually already through after a good eight minutes.

However, Julian Dengl followed up courageously and rewarded himself and his team with the 2:0.

Landsberg's offensive, actually the team's showpiece, consisted almost entirely of former DEL2 striker Carciola in the first half.

He initially failed with a penalty to Philipp Hähl and got the connection after a defensive blunder (17th/19th).

The Grafinger wobbled briefly, but found their way back on track and also survived being outnumbered at the beginning of the second section.

Klostersee had already missed the renewed two-goal lead a few times, including when Lynnden Pastachak missed a penalty (26') when Vili Vesalainen hammered the puck into the corner to make it 3-1 (29').

After that, the EHC attack engine ran really hot.

Pastachak, Simon Roeder and captain Philipp Quinlan increased the lead to 6:2 by the next break after conceding a goal while outnumbered.

The intermediate result allowed head coach Quinlan to continue to spread the load across four lines of attack.

Visiting coach Sven Curmann hadn't given up yet and set an example with the goalkeeper change for the remaining 20 minutes.

But the matter was over, the Finn Vesalainen quickly nipped the hopes in the bud (44th).
