The EV Aich is still there without losing points.

In Augsburg, the leader overcomes some sloppiness with his strong offensive.

Augsburg – EV Aich keeps its clean sheet in the district league even after nine matchdays.

However, the 7:5 win at the Woodstocks Augsburg was hard work.

As usual, the guests fell behind through Lukas Sycek (10th).

But the EVA quickly recovered: Christian Koller fired a shot from the turn to make it 1:1 (13th).

The first Aicher storm row promptly followed up with a goal from Jannis Gabler for a 2:1 lead (15th).

After the change of sides, the league leaders conceded a penalty, which the hosts took advantage of immediately: They equalized through Maximilian Merkel (22nd).

This scheme was repeated when Sebastian Lachner gave EVA a 3-2 lead (23rd) and Felix Wohlhaupter equalized again for Augsburg (33rd).

"We kept inviting the opponent to score goals, didn't put the disc out at the back or played a bad pass.

And then there was a fire again,” complained EVA trainer Georg Herrmann.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

It's a good thing that the first EVA storm line couldn't be stopped on Friday and was able to increase the lead to 5:3 with Lachner (33rd) and Gabler (37th).

But the Fuggerstadt team didn't give up and came back in the lead through Merkel (54th).

This got the Aicher into trouble, because from then on almost every player was in the penalty box, and the Woodstocks took their goalkeeper off the ice.

But that took revenge when Lachner (58th) and Christian Poetzel (59th) each came to the target in quick succession, scored into the empty goal and made it 7:4.

The 5: 7 by Merkel (60th) was only result cosmetics.

Because EV Königsbrunn lost at the same time, EV Aich now leads the table with a two-point lead.
