Summary of today's events in sports (Sport1)
Sivasspor accepted the departure of Dia Saba, who has a low release clause of 250,000 euros.
The Israeli striker experienced a great half season in Sivas, with 5 goals and 3 assists in the league and also a goal and two assists in the Conference League.
Already in November, Saba informed the leaders of Sivasspor that he did not intend to stay and his good ability made him a returning player who will not have difficulty finding a new team.
Maccabi Haifa has expressed interest, but it was reported in Turkey that Shakhshir is also in the picture and this of course could guarantee the 30-year-old striker a much higher salary.
Gulf teams are also following and if Saba's main consideration is financial, Maccabi Haifa will have a very hard time joining.
"Seva will leave us, there is nothing we can do about it," said Sivaspor coach Riza Chalimbai after the 1:2 victory over Kasimpesha yesterday - a game in which the Israeli scored the first goal.
The coach added: "That's how his contract is structured. It's his decision alone, we don't want him to leave."

Saba left Israel in January 2019, when it was sold from Po'el Beer Sheva to the Chinese Guangzhou R&F.
He played in the media for a little over a year and a half and in September 2020 - against the backdrop of the outbreak of the Corona virus in China - he moved to Al Nassar from the United Arab Emirates.
After his contract ended, he moved to Sivasspor at the end of last August.
