Ice hockey: EV Fürstenfeldbruck narrowly wins in Moosburg

After the 6:5 victory in extra time (4:2, 0:1, 1:2) of EV Fürstenfeldbruck on Friday evening at EV Moosburg and the simultaneous 8:5 victory of ESV Waldkirchen over leader Haßfurt, the Amperstadt team are behind increased to two points to fourth place in the table.

– The team coached by Bruck Roman Mucha is not fooling itself and has come to terms with the relegation round.

On Friday evening, the district townsfolk ran in front of 80 spectators in Moosburg after a 0:2 deficit.

But the team recovered and went into the break at the end of the first period with a 4:2 lead.

Kresimir Schildhabel and Michal Telesz equalized with their goals up to the 15th minute.

Frederik Hoffmann and Mathias Jeske even created a two-goal advantage in a manpower game.

Especially in the middle section, the referees drew the displeasure of the few Brucker supporters with their one-sided interpretation of the rules.

And so the Moosburgers came up to 4:3.

The encounter then really picked up speed in the final third, when the EVF was able to extend the lead to two goals thanks to Jeske.

But six minutes before the end, Moosburg reduced the lead to 5:4.

After that it got dramatic.

First of all, the referees did not recognize a goal by Moosburger to equalize 5:5.

The hosts wanted to see the disc in the goal.

Almost two minutes before the end, Moosburg took his goalie off the ice.

Since a little later a Brucker received a two-minute penalty, it was six against four.

Six seconds before the end, the disc wriggled to a 5:5 equalizer in Brucker Tor.

In the fourth minute of extra time, Schildhabel scored a deserved 6:5 final score.
