The soccer association is going to elect a chairman. Hundreds of team leaders have arrived in Sheim, where the elections are taking place between the current chairman, Oren Hasson, and Shino Zoertz.
As of this moment, the evaluation speaks of Rob Lezoerts, when in the two top leagues there is a clear majority in his favor.
Hasson's hope comes mainly from the lower leagues and representatives of the various centers, who apparently fear that "soccer will be cut off from the periphery".
At the same time, Zoertz clarified: "We will help everyone. The goal is to raise the lower leagues, take care of things from the root and present a program that has not yet existed in Israeli football."
Zwartz also said: "They are trying to paint it as a struggle between small teams against big ones, but this is an invention. I have support from Acre, Umm El Fachem, Hapoel Ramat Gan, Mahane Yehuda and many women's teams on the list. We will be in favor of the soccer industry in Israel."
Apart from the support that Zoertz spoke of, there is unanimity among the Premier League teams regarding his appointment.
Maccabi Haifa, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Tel Aviv show public support for Zoertz. Hapoel BS, MS Ashdod, Bnei Sakhnin and Hapoel Haifa are going with Oren Hasson.
After the vote, the votes will be counted.
Each vote in the Premier League and the National League is worth 20 points.
A vote for a team in League A is worth 10 points, while from League B and the women's leagues 2 points each vote.
The votes from League C are worth only one point.
