Zvika Sharaf and Neta Rivkin entered the Tel Aviv Hall of Fame Israel today

As part of the ceremony, which was held in the presence of Tel Aviv-Jaffa Mayor Ron Huldai, the municipality awarded tokens of appreciation and appreciation to past sportsmen and women who joined the Israeli Sports Hall of Fame


The Municipality of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, through the Municipal Sports Authority, held the Sports People of the Year ceremony for 2022 this evening (Tuesday).  

The ceremony, which is held every year, celebrates sportsmen and women athletes, coaches, sports associations and bodies that contribute to the community and who have made their mark and contributed a lot to sports in the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, each in their own field.

For this contribution, they were awarded entry into the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Hall of Fame, which includes significant landmarks in the history of Tel Aviv and Israeli sports and is joined by Tel Aviv sportsmen and women every year. 

As part of the ceremony, which was held in the presence of Tel Aviv-Jaffa Mayor Ron Huldai, the municipality awarded tokens of appreciation and appreciation to past sportsmen and women who joined the Israeli Sports Hall of Fame: basketball coach Zvika Sharaf, artistic gymnast from the Maccabi Tel Aviv Association Neta Rivkin, Paralympic swimmer Keren Leibovitz ', the former basketball player of Hapoel Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team, the late Chaim Hazan, the Paralympic swimmer Ron Bolotin and the former soccer player of Hapoel Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team, Moshe Sinai. 

Mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Ron Huldai:

"Thousands of athletes work in Tel Aviv-Jaffa at all levels and all ages. Some are active in gyms, others pedal bikes and run, some prefer walking and some take their hobby and turn it into a profession. Sports in Tel Aviv-Jaffa is An engine of growth among all the residents, who make the city a breathing and living sport, and who connect its past with a better future, in all areas, creates strong communities, broad and extensive fan groups, and a strong and stable urban pride. For me, just so you know, all those involved in sports are the real winners, And the glory is for you, and for you." 

Also, as part of the ceremony, awards were given to the leaders of Tel Aviv sports in a variety of fields: the outstanding male and female male and female male and female male and female male and female male and female athletes - runners Luna Chamtai Spalter, Maru Tefri and Geshao Ayala (from the Maccabi Tel Aviv Association - athletics), hand cyclist Amit Hesdai (from the fighter) will receive a certificate of recognition as an outstanding Paralympic athlete. 

The Hope of the Year - the sprinter Blessing Afrifa (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv - track and field).

The sign of outstanding promising athletes - Diana Svartsov and Romi Pritsky (from Maccabi Tel Aviv in artistic gymnastics) and Liza Dubjevic (from cable water skiing Tel Aviv). 

Outstanding Youth Athlete Award - Alona Tal Franco (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in artistic gymnastics), Roni Shaham (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in weightlifting), Dima Dochenko (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in apparatus gymnastics), Amit Zucker (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in basketball) , Roy Naoi (from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in soccer) and Yam Lev (from cable water skiing in Tel-Aviv. 

The outstanding coaches - Igor Balon and Dan Salpeter (from Maccabi Tel Aviv - athletics) and Doron Levit (from the Association for the Promotion of Fencing Tel Aviv).

Dan Spalter spoke on behalf of the athletes and coaches.

The ceremony will also include the recognition of the achievements of the sports associations in Tel Aviv-Jaffa: the Entrepreneurship of the Year award was given to an exceptional entrepreneur - the director of the sports department at Beit HaLochem Tel Aviv in the IDF disabled organization for over 27 years, Miki Ozai. 

The Educator Award went to Boris Yahannov, a veteran physical education teacher at the Bialik-Rogozin school and a wrestling coach at Hapoel Tikva Tel Aviv.
