Angers: two French clubs interested in Moroccan Azzedine Ounahi, according to Saïd Chabane

The president of the SCO of Angers also confirmed that clubs in the Middle East coveted Sofiane Boufal.

The World Cup often reveals players, and the one we have just experienced is no exception to the rule.

In Angers, these are the names of two Moroccans who have been on everyone's lips since the formidable epic of the Atlas Lions in Qatar.

If the noises were only rumors so far, the president of the SCO, Saïd Chabane, confirmed at the microphone of Prime Video, before the defeat of his people in Ajaccio, that two French clubs wanted to secure the services of Azzedine Ounahi , who notably distinguished himself against Spain's Luis Enrique.

“Everything is possible today, but there are such requests that it will be difficult to say no, and that we too […] Today, we have two French clubs which are on it.

“When asked which ones, he preferred to kick in touch, not without humor: “Oh, I lost my memory …”, he joked.

It is the name of Olympique de Marseille that comes up with insistence, but nothing is certain: “When I see the list of clubs that have approached us, I tell myself that anything is possible for him.

Santa Claus really came before his time, especially for him.

Another player author of a nice World Cup, Sofiane Boufal is also coveted.

And if its president has announced that Azzedine Ounahi's wish was to be sold “before being loaned for six months to Angers”, the future is more uncertain for Boufal.

“We have not yet discussed with the player to find out his will, whether it is to stay in Europe, to stay in Angers or to leave,” said Saïd Chabane.

The offers are in any case on the table: “We have two clubs from the Middle East which have positioned themselves with interesting offers for him and for us”, he announced.

It is therefore not certain that we will see the two players again in the Angevin jersey, even if it is the wish of the club: "We would like to keep them all, but at some point, the siren song..."
