Csongor Knipli is also leaving SpVgg Freising because of a disappointing season.

At SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos he wants to focus more on his own wrestling again.

Hallbergmoos - Great joy at SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos, regret at the wrestlers of SpVgg Freising: The 29-year-old Hungarian Csongor Knipli leaves the Domstädter and moves a few kilometers further to the southern district (we reported).

As a former head coach, he leaves a big gap and he didn't take the decision lightly: "In the end, however, I was always under a lot of stress and wanted to take a new step."

SV Siegfried: Aydin, Bilici, Prill and Knipli act as a coaching team

In Hallbergmoos, Knipli completes the trainer quartet with Ergün Aydin, Ahmet Bilici (freestyle) and Michael Prill and himself for the Greco area: "There I no longer have to do everything on my own and can concentrate more on wrestling again." year, the first thoughts about the change came up.

After all, he supported the SVS some time ago in youth training and the contact never broke off.

"Before last season there were many positive signals in Freising - such as the change from Norbert Molnos."

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Knipli: "I've never suffered so many defeats in my life"

The Hungarian didn't know anything about the many problems at the time and started the Bayernliga with great optimism.

But: “The whole lap was very disappointing for me personally.

I don't think I've ever suffered so many defeats in my life.” Relegation to the state league was the last step in the decision to leave Freising.

At 29, Knipli didn't have forever to prove himself at a high level: "So I informed those responsible early on, but the team only knew after the last day of fighting." bring the troops: "After that I got a lot of calls, but in the end everyone understood that I needed a new challenge." And Knipli emphasizes that

Knipli: "The wrestling side is still very important for me, I'm still young"

The 29-year-old knows his way around the 2nd Bundesliga – he wrestled there for Wacker Burghausen almost a decade ago.

"I think it's the best league for me." Knipli doesn't see the fact that he is no longer head coach in addition to his own struggles as a degradation, but rather as a liberation: "I think it's a very good concept in Hallbergmoos are.

The wrestling side is still very important for me at the moment, I'm still young." He still has at least five years at a high level, emphasizes the Hungarian.

"What's next, no one can say.

But now I'm looking forward to my fights for the SVS."

In Hallbergmoos, he can also contribute his ideas with regard to the rest of the squad: “I have already discussed this with the chairman Michael Prill.

But in general it already looks very good that a powerful team will take to the mat next season.” In any case, the joy at SVS is great.

Prill: "Because he worked with us before, the integration process works smoothly." Csongor Knipli in Greco style is planned for the weight classes up to 66, 71 and 75 kilograms.
