I don't think I've ever suffered so many defeats in my life.” Relegation to the state league was the last step in the decision to leave Freising.

At 29, Knipli didn't have forever to prove himself at a high level: "So I informed those responsible early on, but the team only knew after the last day of fighting." bring the troops: "After that I got a lot of calls, but in the end everyone understood that I needed a new challenge." The 29-year-old knows his way around the 2nd Bundesliga – he wrestled there for Wacker Burghausen almost a decade ago.

"I think it's the best league for me." Knipli doesn't see the fact that he is no longer head coach in addition to his own struggles as a degradation, but rather as a liberation: "I think it's a very good concept in Hallbergmoos are.

The wrestling side is still very important for me at the moment, I'm still young." He still has at least five years at a high level, emphasizes the Hungarian.

"What's next, no one can say.

But now I'm looking forward to my fights for the SVS."

In Hallbergmoos, he can also contribute his ideas with regard to the rest of the squad: “I have already discussed this with the chairman Michael Prill.

But in general it already looks very good that a powerful team will take to the mat next season.” In any case, the joy at SVS is great.
