in two words: Luka Doncic.
The Slovenian star delivered an unforgettable performance, and let's start with the rare stat line: 60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists - the first time such a thing has ever been done.
Doncic, who of course broke the Mavs' club record, helped bring his team back from 9 down in regulation time, when the drama reached its peak in the final seconds, when he deliberately missed from the line, took the rebound himself and forced overtime.
Even there, no one was able to stop him on his way to a fourth consecutive victory.
Luka finished with 21 of 31 from the field, 16 of 22 from the line and also added 2 steals in 47 minutes.
He received the main assistance from Spencer Dinwiddie (25 points) and Christian Wood (19).
The Knicks, who were missing Jaylen Brunson, got 33 points from Quentin Grimes and 29 from Julius Randle, but it wasn't enough against one of the greatest individual performances in league history.

In a good and successful time, the Lakers stopped a streak of four losses, after leading more or less from the beginning to the end.
LeBron James led with 28 points and received help from most of his friends, led by Thomas Bryant (21 points) and Russell Westbrook (15, 13 rebounds and 13 assists).
Markel Foltz led the loser with 16 points.
