Al-Ittihad team, Al-Ahly of Aleppo, lost to Zob Ahan of Iran, 75-54, in the Super League West Asian Basketball Championship, in the match that brought them together today in the Azadi Hall in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Al-Ittihad Al-Ahly of Aleppo lost to the Jordanian Orthodox last Thursday, with a score of 59-40, in the match that brought them together on the grounds of Al-Hamdaniya Hall in Aleppo, within the first round of the same tournament.
Yesterday, Al-Karamah lost to Iran's Gorgan by 83-78 points in the same tournament, and it had lost its first match in the championship to Iraqi Oil by 89-66 points, in the match that was held in Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
Al-Ittihad plays Al-Ahly Aleppo in the first group of the championship, which includes the Jordanian Orthodox clubs, the Iranian Zob Ahan Isfahan, and the Lebanese Beirut, while Al-Karamah plays in the second group, in which the Lebanese Al-Riyadi clubs, the Iraqi oil, and the Iranian Gorgan compete.
