Brazilian football legend Pele passed away today at the age of 82 after a long illness.
International news agencies quoted Pele's daughter as saying on Instagram: "Pele, the three-time world champion with the Brazilian national football team, died at the age of 82."
The Sao Paulo hospital, where legend Pele was being treated, had announced earlier that he had developed cancer and needed more care to treat kidney and heart failure.
