FC Bayern Munich is still looking for a replacement for Manuel Neuer.
A return campaign by Alexander Nübel is in danger of failing.
Munich – FC Bayern Munich has big goals for the second half of the 2022/23 season, which was put on hold due to the World Cup in Qatar.
But shortly before Christmas came the bad news from Manuel Neuer.
The German national keeper suffered a serious injury while skiing and will not be able to play again this season.
A replacement is needed, Sven Ulreich should remain number two.

There has been much speculation in recent days about a possible replacement for Manuel Neuer.
Those responsible at FC Bayern Munich apparently favor an early return from Alexander Nübel, who is currently still on loan at AS Monaco.
The ex-Schalke player shows strong performances in Ligue 1 and is the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper for the Monegasque.
Most recently, Nübel spoke about his future at Bayern Munich.
He said there is no way he can return to Bayern Munich as long as Manuel Neuer is there as the 26-year-old has no interest in sitting on the bench.
However, that was before Neuer's injury.
But would Nübel return for half a year and then slip back into second place next season?
First of all, FC Bayern would have to come to an agreement with Nübel's club.

now reports, there is no progress in the talks between FC Bayern Munich and AS Monaco.
The reason for this is that the Monegasques did not get an adequate replacement for Alexander Nübel in the short term.
The hands of the German record champions are tied if Monaco does not release the goalkeeper early.
The Monegasque are currently just behind the international places and need a strong number one to secure the goal of participating in the Champions League.
In addition to Nübel, Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach would be an option at Bayern Munich.
The contract of the national keeper of Switzerland expires after the season and Gladbach would probably let him go for a transfer fee of five million euros.

"As far as my contractual situation and my future are concerned, there were already open discussions with the club before the World Cup.
We will resume this in the coming days as agreed,” Sommer is quoted as saying on the Borussia Mönchengladbach website.
At FC Bayern Munich, the pressure is growing when looking for a new replacement, because the second half of the season starts against RB Leipzig on January 20th.
Meanwhile, FC Bayern Munich is looking for a possible Lewandowski successor.
