Mbappé, crowned world champion in 2018 and vice-world champion 2022 after the defeat of France against Argentina (3-3 ap, 4 pens to 2), is often compared since his emergence at the highest level in the "King" by its precocity.
Like Pelé before him, Mbappé panics the counters with nine goals in eleven World Cup matches, spread over two editions.
Pelé died at the age of 82 after battling cancer for more than a year, one of his daughters announced on Thursday.
