Ali Daei, former FC Bayern player, has problems with the Iranian judiciary again.

A plane made an unplanned stop just because of him and his family.

Kish - Ali Daei is a folk hero in Iran.

The Iranian government briefly arrested the ex-FC Bayern player two months ago because he sided with the demonstrators.

Iran imposes travel ban on Ali Daei's wife

The incident with Daei's family is not an isolated one.

Other prominent Iranians have also been arrested and imprisoned for showing solidarity with the protests against the Iranian regime that have been going on for more than three months now.

According to human rights groups abroad, more than 18,000 demonstrators have been arrested so far.

Two demonstrators have already been executed and more than 20 other demonstrators are on the judiciary's death list.

The number of dead is estimated at 500.
