Iran diverts plane: family of ex-Bayern star Daei has to get out

Ali Daei, former FC Bayern player, has problems with the Iranian judiciary again.
A plane made an unplanned stop just because of him and his family.
Kish - Ali Daei is a folk hero in Iran.
The Iranian government briefly arrested the ex-FC Bayern player two months ago because he sided with the demonstrators.
Now she continues to cause him problems.

A scheduled flight on the way to Dubai is said to have been stopped because the wife and daughter of the former Iranian soccer player were in it.
Daei's relatives were asked to get off, reported several news agencies, including the US news agency

Flight tracking website Flightradar24 showed that a plane operated by Iranian airline Mahan Air made a stop on the island of Kish in the Persian Gulf before continuing on to Dubai a few hours later.
The stopover was not announced.

Iran imposes travel ban on Ali Daei's wife

reported, a travel ban was imposed on Daei's wife because she supported the protests.
Their final destination is the United States.
Daei said
his wife and daughter left Tehran legally , according to
the AP .
She had to go back to Tehran, but according to reports she was not arrested.
The ex-Bundesliga player was stunned by the incident.
"Did they want to arrest terrorists?" he was quoted as saying by the Iranian media on Tuesday.
The record national player tried to get a reason for the strange incident from several authorities, but so far in vain, the 53-year-old said, according to the daily

.

"What's the point, it was just a short trip and they both wanted to go back next week," said Daei.
The incident with Daei's family is not an isolated one.
Other prominent Iranians have also been arrested and imprisoned for showing solidarity with the protests against the Iranian regime that have been going on for more than three months now.

According to human rights groups abroad, more than 18,000 demonstrators have been arrested so far.
Two demonstrators have already been executed and more than 20 other demonstrators are on the judiciary's death list.
The number of dead is estimated at 500.
