The Yellows want to continue the momentum against the reigning European champions, to whom they have lost in the last four meetings. Baldwin is still not in Ketsch's squad, Larkin is back in the five of the Turks

The 16th round of the Euroleague, which will close the first round of the European factory, started tonight (Thursday) with the meeting between Maccabi Tel Aviv and the reigning Euroleague champion - Anadolu Efes.

Both teams have the same record of eight wins against seven losses, with the Yellows on a streak of four home wins.

After the only two away victories this season for Oded Ketch's players, Maccabi Tel Aviv will try to register a first victory over Anadolu Efes since March 2020, when the yellows saw Shane Larkin's foul on the buzzer and advanced to the Euroleague playoffs which were not held in the end due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The injured Wade Baldwin has yet to return to the Ketch squad, while Alex Poithers continues his long absence following hand surgery.

Larkin returned to the squad in their last game and started for Ergin Atman alongside Vasili Micic.

Ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv, Ante Zezic, will appear in front of the host crowd for the first time since he left the club last summer.

Will they continue their good form against the European champions?

the progress of the game

Quarter 1:

Maccabi Tel Aviv went up in five with Lorenzo Brown, Jake Cohen, Jaylen Adams, Bonzie Colson and Josh Niebo.

The center penetrated the paint and scored the first points with a layup.

Three-pointers on both sides led to a close game in the opening, with two baskets by Bryant from outside the arc.

Two three-pointers by Brown put the yellows ahead in the minutes of good defense on the part of Maccabi.

Coulson added two in the paint to give the home team a double-digit lead.
