NBA: pass of ten for the Nets, the Bucks fall against the Bulls

The Brooklyn Nets have chained a tenth victory in a row against the Hawks (108-107) with a duo Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant still decisive.


The Brooklyn Nets won their tenth straight victory, beating the Hawks 108-107, while the Bucks fell to the Chicago Bulls (119-113) on Wednesday in the NBA, during an evening also marked by the expulsion of three players, including Frenchman Killian Hayes, during the Detroit-Orlando match.

Kyrie Irving scored 15 of 28 points in the fourth quarter, and Kevin Durant added 26 points to lead the Nets to a tenth straight win, including six on the road.

Ten straight wins hadn't happened since 2006 to the Brooklyn franchise, which was then in New Jersey, when current coach Jacque Vaughn was playing for the Nets.

," said Kevin Durant, who has also took 16 rebounds and provided 8 assists.

Irving had 5 winning shots on 11 attempted, while providing 8 assists and grabbing 5 rebounds.

Nic Claxton added 17 points for the Nets, who take second place in the Eastern Conference from the Bucks.

They fell after their overtime loss to the Bulls, who held off a 45-point, 22-rebound performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

DeMar DeRozan scored 42 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Zach LaVine added 24 points to lift the Bulls to tenth place in the East.

Zion Williamson and his 43 points allowed the New Orleans franchise to win against the Minnesota Timberwolves (119-118), who suffered a fourth straight loss.

Williamson, who scored the last point of the victory on a free throw 4 seconds from the end, was particularly illustrated by a poster dunk (dunk above an opponent) on Rudy Gobert, limited to 10 points and 8 rebounds.

In Miami, the Lakers lost 98-112 against the Heat of Jimmy Butler (27 pts) and Bam Adebayo (23 pts, 14 rebounds).

LeBron James, who scored 27 points, took 9 rebounds and offered 6 assists, was playing his 1,393rd career game, the 10th best total in league history, just ahead of Tim Duncan.

Finally, the Pistons, who remained on six losses in a row, regained some air by beating the Magic 121-101.

Note however the expulsion of Frenchman Killian Hayes, involved in a general fight and who risks a priori a suspension.

At the end of the second quarter, while Moe Wagner runs towards the defense to recover a bad pass from Caleb Houstan, Killian Hayes pursues him and Wagner then pushes Hayes with his shoulder on the Pistons bench.

Hayes responds with a punch to the back of Wagner's neck, which appears to have been knocked out.

Both were sent off, along with Hamidou Diallo, who shouldered Wagner.
