Alexander Nübel doesn't want to go back to Bayern Munich, but will others decide?
There was probably an explosive phone call between Munich and Monaco.
Munich – There is still no solution to the unexpected goalkeeper problem at FC Bayern after Manuel Neuer broke his lower leg in an accident.
For a long time, the most obvious option to prematurely terminate Alexander Nübel's loan contract with AS Monaco actually vanished into thin air after Nübel's offensive cancellation.
But now it has become known that Hasan Salihamidžić and Monaco board member Paul Mitchell should still be in contact.
An internally set deadline may also play a role.
FC Bayern: The clubs have the authority to decide on the Nübel contract
Although Nübel says he wants to fulfill his loan contract with AS Monaco by the end of the season and is anything but open to a return to Munich, it could still happen.
The simple reason is that the loan agreement was concluded between the two clubs, i.e. FC Bayern and Monaco.
If the Monegasques agreed to the dissolution of the paper, Nübel would have no choice but to return to Säbener Straße.
He still has a valid contract there until 2025.

The information from
Bild
that Salihamidžić is said to have phoned Monaco board member Paul Mitchell on Thursday is of a certain explosive nature, especially for Nübel.
Mitchell, who was sporting director at Monaco until last June and was thus responsible for finalizing the loan deal, is likely to continue to be an influential voice at AS Monaco.
Is FC Bayern playing poker with Monaco for compensation for Nübel?
Should Nübel actually return to FC Bayern in the coming transfer period, a corresponding compensation payment to AS Monaco would be due.
It is quite common for a corresponding amount to be deposited in the contract between the clubs in the event of a premature loan end.
Whether there is such a clause and if so, how high it is, has not yet been made known.
It is obvious that Salihamidžić is trying to squeeze the compensation that may be considered too high and is therefore in intensive contact with Mitchell.
But even if no such clause exists, both clubs could negotiate an equivalent sum to declare the contract void.
FC Bayern has probably set itself an internal deadline
According to various media reports, the amount that FC Bayern would have to pay Monaco if Nübel returned is somewhere between two and ten million euros.
For Yann Sommer, who is currently the (second) hottest candidate, five million euros should be due.
In addition, according to information from the

, the people of Munich have set a deadline of January 6 for a decision to be made.

The following calculation could be made: If Salihamidzic manages to reduce the price for a return from Nübel to below five million euros by January 6th, the decision will be made on this.
If this does not succeed, the decision could fall on the cheaper summer.
According to the latest statements from the goalkeeper on loan, summer should also be more popular with FCB fans.
dBut voices have also recently been raised against his commitment.
