At the end of the main round, EV Moosburg plays against VER Selb.
There, the three Rosenstadt could get important counters for the relegation round.
Moosburg – The last main round game of EV Moosburg on Friday (7.30 p.m., Clariant Arena) in the state league against VER Selb heralds the relegation round.
Because both opponents will be in the playdowns from January and would love to take the points from the direct duel there.
EV Moosburg wants to build on performance against Waldkirchen: "We played excellently"
The green and yellow seem to have the better cards for this at the moment.
Before Christmas, Selb suffered a terrible beating against ESV Waldkirchen with a score of 1:21 – this was the highest defeat of the entire state league season.
On the other hand, the EVM delivered a 14:3 excellent lead against the same opponent on Boxing Day.
"We played excellently against Waldkirchen and quickly put the disc forward.
The strikers did a good job and scored.
That's why we deserved to win," said Moosburg's trainer Benoit Doucet, who, alongside the outstanding Cedrick Chagnon, praised the series with Max Retzer, Jonas Seitz and Tobias Stuckenberger.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
“I think we were able to carry the speed and flow that we had in the first third into the second.
That's what we haven't been able to do in the last few weeks and months," explained Max Retzer after beating the Crocodiles.
“In the second and third period it rattled relatively quickly and then thank God we got the passes through well and weren’t in too much trouble.
That helped us.
If things fall in at the front, then it’s really easy.”
Doucet: "Only with three points against Selb it's a nice week"
It won't be that easy on Friday.
The EVM won the first leg in Selb 6:4, but still got into trouble at the end of the game despite a three-goal advantage.
“We won against ESV 14:3.
That's all good, but getting the three points on Friday is very important.
Only then is it a nice week.
Playing badly on Friday and then losing is simply not possible,” explains Doucet.
Retzer still didn't want to talk about a mandatory win against Selb: "In the league it doesn't matter which opponent you have.
You always go in with the same attitude.
That's what we've done all season and we're not going to change that.
Of course we'll try to get three points against Selb as well.” jfu
