The 21-year-old Israeli is the first bench player this season in the NBA to produce an impressive statistical line of at least 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 block

"Danny Avdia was exceptional," stated Bret Asher, the NBA reporter in a particularly enthusiastic tweet, "he is the first bench player this season in the NBA to record at least 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 block."

Certainly, Washington's 21-year-old forward deserves respect for the numbers he's putting up, with at least one 3-pointer in the Wizards' next game helping him match his best streak of 11 games with at least one basket from behind the arc.

Deni Avdija was outstanding Friday night, scoring 13 points on 5-of-8 with seven rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block in 28 minutes off the Washington bench.

Avdia also received compliments unrelated to the game, by a number of Brazilian websites that published a photo of him arriving at the game against Orlando wearing a green Pele shirt, as a tribute to the soccer star who died yesterday (Thursday).

Deni Avdija, from the Washington Wizards, arrived for today's game using a Pelé shirt from the New York Cosmos.
