An exciting event took place in the Khodorov complex where over 100 children on the autistic spectrum participated in a special soccer tournament • Among those present was the coach of the youth team Ofir Haim: "Everyone knows that I have a son on the spectrum and it is important that the children remember that they are as good as anyone else"

A particularly exciting event took place this morning (Monday) at Hapoel Tel Aviv's 'Khodorov' complex, where over 100 children on the autistic spectrum participated in a special soccer tournament on behalf of the Shaar Shevion association, in what was the opening of the year of the 'Equal Victory' program.

The coach of the youth soccer team, Ofir Haim, who himself is the father of a child with autism, was honored by his presence and even kicked the opening kick.

Ziv Solomon, Social Responsibility Manager of the Football Association, was also present at the event.

Towards the end of the event, the players of Hapoel Tel Aviv, David Kaltins and Hisham Laios, arrived, who distributed medals and trophies to the outstanding players.

Ofir Haim told the children at the opening of the tournament: "I am happy to see here that there is a real possibility for children on the continuum to play football, because when my son was young he did not have this possibility. Remember that you are as good as anyone, and even more, and I wish you great success on the field And outside of it."

Haim told Israel Hayom: "When they called me and told me about the association 'Equal to Victory' and that there was such an event, there was no question of whether I would come but only when. It is a privilege for me to be here, and wherever they want I will come, it is very exciting for me Everyone knows my story that I have a son on the autistic spectrum, and when he put on Maccabi clothes for the first time and told me he wanted to be a soccer player, it moved me very much. I know what it gives these children and it's a lot of fun."

Liran Jersi, CEO and founder of "Shaar Shevion" said: "The 'Equal Victory' program emphasizes the inclusion of children with special needs in Israeli football.

These are soccer teams for boys with special needs who play professionally.

A special bond is formed between the boys that manifests itself on the soccer field and creates a shared experience and a sense of competence and belonging.

We are proud of our young players who play football with great pleasure and in a fair and friendly manner and contribute to the future development of the football industry also in the special populations.

I promise that we will continue to make the world of football accessible to any group in the population that would like it, as it is a tool with tremendous capabilities for reducing gaps and social equality."
