The Dutch top favorite Michael van Gerwen has reached the final at the Darts World Championship in London and is about to win his fourth title.
"Mighty Mike" had no problems in the 6-0 win over Belgian Dimitri van den Bergh on Monday evening at Alexandra Palace.
On Tuesday evening (9 p.m. / Sport1 and DAZN) the big World Cup final is against the Englishman Michael Smith.
Smith had thrown the German Gabriel Clemens out of the tournament in the evening.
The winner will not only win £500,000 (around €565,000) and the 25kg Sid Waddell Trophy, but also the new world number one.
The Welshman Gerwyn Price will lose this status.
For van Gerwen, after 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2020, it will be the sixth final at the largest and most highly endowed tournament in the world.
Only record champion Phil Taylor (England) has played in more PDC World Championship finals than the Dutchman.
