Dorfen – The Dorfen ski club has revived a decades-long tradition and, after a break due to the pandemic, is again organizing the New Year's Eve run.
Chairman Alfons Ben Grundner was able to send 44 runners on the challenging route on Birkenallee at the former Café Findeis in good weather conditions.
A nearly eight kilometer long circuit had to be mastered, which first led up to the Fürmetz-Hölzl and then via Lindum, across the upper Isental valley and back to the start at the Manhart property.
Although no official timekeeping was carried out and the motto "sporting leisure time fun, fun running" was issued, the ambitious men, women and young people, some with competitive experience, but also amateur runners, took up the challenge.
