Emiliano Martínez, known as "Divo", barely got off the headlines in the two weeks that have passed since the Argentina team won the World Cup, due to his provocations towards Kylian Mbappe during the celebrations, which drew angry reactions from past and present players in general and French in particular.
Yesterday (Sunday) the goalkeeper received a mention not related to football: the man between the posts of Aston Villa purchased a dog of the Belgian shepherd type for no less than 25,000 euros, according to a report in the British "Daily Star", to increase the level of security at his home in Birmingham.
This is a specially trained dog, of a breed that was used by the special unit of the British Air Force and also the Marines in the United States Army.
The new gatekeeper at the home of Martins and his family can reach a weight of up to 30 kilograms, and is characterized by "extreme agility and hunting sense", according to the company through which the Argentine adopted the dog.
"The Belgian shepherd is number 1 in the world. They were used, among other things, to capture Osama bin Laden."
The new dog will also keep the gold glove.

Among the clients of that company, named Elite Protection Dogs, you can also find the captain of the French national team Hugo Lloris, the former player of Chelsea Ashley Cole and the boxer Tyson Fury.
Of course, in addition to his wife Mandinia and his children Santi and Ava, "Divo" has two new and valuable objects at home, which he is very interested in keeping: the gold medal and the golden glove that he won at the end of the World Cup, after being crowned the best goalkeeper in the World Cup in Qatar.
