Munich – Since Manuel Neuer's serious injury about four weeks ago, FC Bayern have been looking for a suitable replacement for their regular keeper.

According to various reports, those responsible in Munich are already considering some potential candidates.

Now Bayern are said to have knocked on Neuer's direct national team competitor Kevin Trapp.

Kevin Trapp has been showing consistently strong performances for years, the former PSG keeper won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt last summer and has been playing with the eagles in the premier class ever since.

No wonder Bayern have their eye on the 32-year-old.

, those responsible for the record champions recently asked the players if Trapp was currently considering a change.

According to the report, however, there is still no official request from Eintracht.

The current fourth in the Bundesliga would probably prefer to extend the contract with Trapp, which runs until July 2024. If Bayern actually try to sign the goalkeeper, they would have to pay a fee.

The Eintracht fans would certainly be disappointed regardless of the sum.

It is questionable whether the Frankfurt keeper, who moved back to the Main in 2019 for seven million euros, would make the move to Munich of all things.

Trapp only had an offer from Manchester United last summer, but rejected the English and decided to stay in Frankfurt.
