"Best dad ever": Schumi children get emotional on their father's birthday

Michael Schumacher turns 54 on Tuesday.
His two children Mick and Gina congratulated in a special way and each shared old photos with their father.
Gland - On Tuesday, January 3rd, Michael Schumacher will be 54 years old.
Only five days after the anniversary of his serious accident, which occurred on December 29, 2013, the children of the Formula 1 legend found emotional words.
Both son Mick and daughter Gina sent congratulations to their father on Instagram, both showed their followers a childhood picture with their hero.

On Tuesday morning, 25-year-old Gina posted an older photo in which she can be seen in racing overalls and a wool hat.
Father Michael is standing next to her, the two look into each other's eyes jokingly, the 54-year-old raises his eyebrows.
The photo was taken on October 20, 2013 at a karting event in Kerpen.
With the words "Happy Birthday Dad" and "Looking back at our karting days", Gina, who is now an equestrian - or more precisely in reining, a discipline of western riding - is active, shared the private snapshot with her father.
She also added various emojis, such as a racing car and hearts.
After a few hours, the post already had five-digit likes.

Her brother Mick, who is scheduled to be a substitute driver at Mercedes for the coming season, dug up an old photo for his father's 54th birthday and shared it on social media.
The picture shows the 23-year-old with his Michael in front of a lake, both holding a picture frame in their hands and smiling at the camera.
"Happy Birthday to the best dad of all time," writes the racing driver, who has competed in Formula 1 for the Haas team for the past two seasons.
In the second photo that Mick included in the birthday post, Schumacher grins at the camera from his racing car.
"I love you," wrote son Mick under the Instagram post and provided it with a heart emoji.
Mick and Sebastian Vettel had already shared childhood photos with the seven-time Formula 1 world champion at Christmas.

So it is not clear whether he can even receive the birthday wishes of his two children.
During his time at Haas, Mick only revealed that he would like to talk to his father about their shared passion and said meaningfully: "I would give up everything just for that."
