Real Madrid managed to beat Cacereño in their debut in the Copa del Rey thanks to a great goal from Rodrygo in the second half.

The Brazilian scored a great goal after overtaking two defenders and nailing the ball into the top corner with a shot from inside.

The whites had not been able to keep up with their rival's drive in the first half and the match was being very even, with the chances divided between the two teams.

El Cacereño, a team from the Second RFEF, the fourth division of Spanish football, has made things very difficult for Ancelotti's men, who had trusted Hazard from the start but ended up withdrawing him after his scarce participation.

The Extremaduran team has not given up until the end and says goodbye to the Cup after standing up to the current European champions.

Commendable effort by Cácereño

The first part is nearing its conclusion and we have not seen a notable superiority of any team, if anything, the people from Extremadura have been the ones who have tightened the most so far.

Seeing that Madrid is not a roller in attack, Julio Cobos' men do not save anything to press up and they have already had several occasions, although none especially clear.

Cuando al día siguiente el sorteo de dieciseisavos los emparejó con el Real Madrid, al que reciben este martes en el estadio Príncipe Felipe de Cáceres (21.00, La1), las televisiones no dispusieron de las clásicas imágenes de plantilla de equipo modesto celebrando el cruce con un grande. No lo habían seguido juntos. Era uno de los pocos días libres que tuvieron estas las navidades.
