On New Year's Eve, UFC boss Dana White and his wife Anne were filmed fighting at a nightclub in Mexico.
After receiving a slap from his partner, White replied by hitting her in turn.
This Monday, the UFC boss apologized in an interview with TMZ.
According to the American media, the protagonists, married for 26 years, were drunk and had to be separated by friends.
"I'm one of those who say there's never, ever an excuse for a man to raise his hand on a woman and now I'm here to talk about it," Dana White said.

His wife also took the floor to assure not to blame him.
“Dana and I have been married for almost 30 years.
To say it doesn't look like him is an understatement, nothing like this has ever happened before.
Unfortunately, we had both had too much to drink on New Year's Eve and things got out of hand, on both sides.
The couple have three children.
“We talked about it as a family and we apologized to each other, indicate the two protagonists.
